White Wings' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Arvato College Wizards (1-6) 81-70 on Wednesday. White Wings outrebounded Arvato College Wizards 33-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Philip Hecker (193-2) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Philipp Walz (202-1) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. White Wings' coach Kamil Piechucki used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Christoph Rupp (195-94) came up with 26 points and 4 assists and American guard Richaud Gittens (193-95, college: Seattle) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Arvato College Wizards in the defeat. White Wings (1-2) left bottom position moving up to ninth place in South. It was Arvato College Wizards' sixth loss in a row. They keep the eleventh position with six games lost. White Wings will meet at home higher ranked OrangeAcademy (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arvato College Wizards will play against Bayern (#13) in Muenchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
