Regular Season Round 5: Triglav - Domzale 86-43

Very predictable result in Kranj where leader Triglav (5-0) smashed bottom-ranked Domzale (0-4) 86-43 on Friday. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Domzale to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. Triglav dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Domzale's 22. Triglav forced 20 Domzale turnovers and outrebounded them 53-30 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Domzale's players. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-93) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Gala Kramzar (180-99) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. Forward Spela Berus (180-3) produced 11 points and point guard Eliza Pintar (170-2) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Triglav. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Celje. Domzale lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with four games lost. Triglav will meet Jezica (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Domzale will play against Grosbasket and hopes to get finally their first victory.
