A very close game took place in Ankara between Acibadem and Turk Telekom. Twelfth ranked Acibadem (3-3) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Turk Telekom (2-4). Acibadem managed to escape with a 1-point win 75-74 on Saturday evening. Acibadem looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Ghanian-American Ben Bentil (204-95, college: Providence) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Samet Geyik (206-93) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and Mexican point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-93) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Acibadem and four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Acibadem moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Besiktas and Gaziantep. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Acibadem will meet at home Buyukcekmece (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Turk Telekom will play against Efes in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
