No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Rackelos (2-4) beat bottom-ranked Bayern (0-6) in Giessen 81-71 on Saturday. Rackelos made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Bayern turnovers and had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Maximilian Begue (191-1) accounted for 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Rackelos players scored in double figures. International point guard Joshua Obiesie (198-0) came up with 19 points and Sierra Leonean center Mohamed Sillah (204-2, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Bayern in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Rackelos moved-up to eighth place in South. Bayern lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Rackelos will meet league's second-placed Titans in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayern will play against Arvato College Wizards (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
