Very significant was EnBW Ludwigsburg's (#6) 88-80 road victory against 7th ranked MBC. EnBW Ludwigsburg made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 MBC turnovers and had a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Justin Simon (196-96, college: St.John's) notched 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Tremmell Darden (194-81, college: Niagara) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach John Patrick used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 33 points (!!!) (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!) by American guard Jamel Morris (193-92, college: Fairmont St.) did not help to save the game for MBC. Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) added 15 points and 5 assists. EnBW Ludwigsburg (4-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. MBC at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Chemnitz (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBC will play against ALBA Berlin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
