Regular Season Round 7: Loewen - ETB Miners 73-71

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Hertener Loewen (5-1) edged at home 10th ranked ETB Miners (2-4) 73-71 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for American guard Adam Pickett (185-94, college: Winthrop) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Gabriel Jung (185-1) helped adding 18 points. Hertener Loewen's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Devin Peterson (185, college: WCU) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American-Irish guard Patrick Carney (185-85, college: Chapman) scored 18 points. Hertener Loewen have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of West leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted ETB Miners keep the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with Hamm. Hertener Loewen will meet league's second-placed Deutzer on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ETB Miners will play against Leverkusen 2 (#5) and hope to secure a win.
