Regular Season Round 7: TKS 49ers - Bernau 81-77

No shocking result in a game when third ranked TKS 49ers (5-1) beat 11th ranked SSV Lok Bernau (1-5) in Stahnsdorf 81-77 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. TKS 49ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by SSV Lok Bernau's players. It was an exceptional evening for Sebastian Fuelle (192-92) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Center Robin Jorch (211-94, college: Boise St.) accounted for 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American center Dan Oppland (201-84, college: Valpo) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Robert Kulawick (192-86) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for SSV Lok Bernau in the defeat. Four SSV Lok Bernau players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for TKS 49ers. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Iserlohn. SSV Lok Bernau at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Koeln. TKS 49ers will meet Sixers (#6) in the next round. SSV Lok Bernau will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
