Regular Season Round 5: Aabyhoj - SISU 74-76

The biggest surprise of round 5 in Dameligaen was guest SISU's (2-2) road victory over 3rd placed Aabyhoj (1-3) 76-74 on Saturday evening. Aabyhoj cut a 14-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Asta Blauenfeldt (168-2) who scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Center Lisa Michaelsen (178-3) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Caroline Wich (185-96, college: Portland St.) produced 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Julie Hoier (183-95, college: Manhattan) added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SISU moved-up to third place. Aabyhoj at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aabyhoj will play at home against the league's leader Falcon (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
