Regular Season Round 7: Bramsche - Neustadt TSV 87-75

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Bramsche (3-4) beat at home 9th ranked Neustadt TSV (2-4) 87-75 on Saturday. Bramsche had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Bramsche especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a great evening for Christopher Meyer (198-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Swedish guard Hugo Florestedt (196-98, college: Temple JC) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Dutch point guard Dyon Doekhi (188-87) responded with 25 points and naturalized Congolese forward Blanchard Obiango (202-88) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. Bramsche moved-up to eighth place in North. Neustadt TSV lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Wolfenbuettel. Bramsche will meet higher ranked Aschersleben (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neustadt TSV will play against the league's leader Berlin BG 2000 (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
