Regular Season Round 7: Giessen - Limburg 67-77

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Limburg (3-4) won against on the road higher ranked Giessen Pointers (4-3) 77-67 on Sunday. Limburg forced 19 Giessen Pointers turnovers. It was a great evening for American power forward KJ Sherrill (203-91, college: Augusta) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Noah Westerhaus (200-98, agency: Gamble Sports Management) helped adding 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Limburg players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Christoph Kenntemich (174-97) scored 13 points. Giessen Pointers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Limburg moved-up to eighth place in South West, which they share with Fellbach. Loser Giessen Pointers dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Limburg will meet at home Ulm BBU 01 (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Giessen Pointers will play against Idstein having rather not much hope for a victory.
