There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Delikatesas (2-7) beat higher ranked Vytis (5-4) in Joniskis 97-81 on Thursday. Delikatesas outrebounded Vytis 46-21 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American Donnell Cegers (197-93, college: NMU) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import Darion Rackley (187-92, college: JSU) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Point guard Simonas Kriauciunas (185-98) came up with 20 points and 4 steals and Augustinas Mikstas (203-1) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vytis in the defeat. Five Delikatesas and four Vytis players scored in double figures. Delikatesas maintains thirteenth place with 2-7 record. Vytis lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Zalgiris II. Delikatesas will meet bottom-ranked Neptunas-Akv. (#14) in the next round. Vytis will play against LSU-Atletas (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
