There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Chemnitz (4-3) edged on the road higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (4-3) 76-74 on Friday. They outrebounded EnBW Ludwigsburg 39-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Chemnitz looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) fired 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian forward Isiaha Mike (203-97, college: SMU) chipped in 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American Rawle Alkins (198-97, college: Arizona) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Chemnitz moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated EnBW Ludwigsburg. Chemnitz will meet at home MLP Academics Heidelberg (#7) in the next round. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Braunschweig and hope to secure a win.
