There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Hamm (4-4) won against on the road higher ranked Hertener Loewen (5-3) 94-90 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Josh Boutte (198, college: Angelo St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Till Hornscheidt (184-1) who added 32 points during the contest. American guard Adam Pickett (185-94, college: Winthrop) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Gabriel Jung (185-1) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Hertener Loewen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hamm have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in West, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hertener Loewen dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Leverkusen 2. Hamm will meet Recklinghausen (#8) on the road in the next round. Hertener Loewen will play against BSV Wulfen (#10) and hope to secure a win.
