Important game to mention about took place in Alytus. Third ranked Zalgiris II (5-1) saved a 1-point derby victory on the road edging 5th ranked ASRC (3-3) 87-86 on Friday evening. ASRC was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 23-17 charge of Zalgiris II, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Dominykas Cernius (201-4) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and point guard Matas Kolesnikovas (182-4) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Saimonas Jeremicius (195-4) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Nojus Lebskas (197-4) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Zalgiris II and five ASRC players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Zalgiris II. They moved-up to second place. ASRC lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Zalgiris II will play against SKM II (#8) in Vilniaus in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ASRC will play on the road against Panevezio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
