Very important is a road loss of second ranked BBU (3-2) against fifth ranked Mustangs (3-2) on Saturday night. Visiting BBU was crushed by Mustangs in Mistelbach 86-56. The game without a history. Mustangs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BBU to just 3 points in third quarter. Mustangs forced 21 BBU turnovers. Czech point guard Jan Kozina (181-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Czech center Viktor Vasat (207-97) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Adrian Mitchell (188-95) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Spanish forward Guillermo Sanchez (200-91) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BBU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mustangs moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated BBU. Mustangs will play against Worthersee Piraten (#3) in Klagenfurt in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BBU will play on the road against KOS in Celovec and hopes to get back on the winning track.
