NKL top team - Gargzdu (9-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Vilnius (2-6) 84-76. Gargzdu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Marius Runkauskas (186-86, agency: BIG) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists. Forward Augustinas Kiudulas (200-3) produced 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Rokas Jocius (208-3) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Gargzdu and four Vilnius players scored in double figures. Vilnius' coach Edvinas Justas rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Gargzdu have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Vilnius lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with six games lost. Gargzdu will meet Palanga (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vilnius will play against Vytis and hope to secure a win.
