Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kangaroos (5-2) against fourth ranked Rist Wedel (5-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Kangaroos were defeated by Rist Wedel in Wedel 89-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kangaroos. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jordan Walker (184-97, college: Morehead St.) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Center Hendrik Drescher (204-0) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. French-Guinean Tidjan Keita (207-96) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and Moritz Huebner (200-97) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rist Wedel have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in North with 5-2 record, which they share with Iserlohn. Rist Wedel will meet league's second-placed TKS 49ers in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kangaroos will have a break next round.
