Regular Season Round 10: Neptunas-Akv. - Delikatesas 89-84

Neptunas-Akv. has finally registered their first victory this season after nine consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Delikatesas (2-8) 89-84. Neptunas-Akv. players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Delikatesas was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Radvilas Kneizys (193-3) supported him with 16 points and 7 assists. Neptunas-Akv.'s coach Simonas Serapinas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by American Donnell Cegers (197-93, college: NMU) did not help to save the game for Delikatesas. Ignas Dauksys (197-93) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas-Akv. maintains fourteenth position with 1-9 record. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Neptunas-Akv. will play against higher ranked Silute (#9) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Delikatesas will play against Kretinga (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
