Regular Season Round 8: Aschersleben - Bramsche 69-53

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Bramsche (3-5) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Aschersleben (5-2) 69-53 on Saturday. Aschersleben outrebounded Bramsche 47-32 including 20 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Faison Brock (198-98, college: USC Aiken) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Irish point guard Patrick Lyons (187-95, college: Tenn Temple) who added 18 points during the contest. American center Cole Walker (206, college: Ferris St., agency: Hamriding Sports Management) responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds and Christopher Meyer (198-98) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aschersleben moved-up to third place in North. Loser Bramsche dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Rendsburg. Aschersleben will meet league's leader Berlin BG 2000 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bramsche will play against Rendsburg (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
