Regular Season Round 3: Tofas - Merkezefendi 120-55

No shocking result in a game in Bursa where Tofas (3-0) outleveled Merkezefendi (1-2) 120-55 on Saturday. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Merkezefendi's 38. Tofas forced 23 Merkezefendi turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Merkezefendi's players. The best player for the winners was Can Cevikel (-5) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Cem Kucukozkan (-5) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ege Ogunc (-5) who recorded 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Atahan Altiok (198-4) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tofas will meet at home Pinar Karsiyaka (#6) in the next round. Merkezefendi will play against Gaziantep and hope to win that game.
