Regular Season Round 9: Rostock - Hagen 91-77

There was no surprise in Rostock where 13th ranked Phoenix Hagen (3-6) was defeated by fourth ranked Seawolves (6-2) 91-77 on Sunday. Seawolves made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Phoenix Hagen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Phoenix Hagen's players. American swingman Nijal Pearson (196-97, college: Texas St.) stepped up and scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Tyler Nelson (190-95, college: Fairfield) chipped in 20 points. Four Seawolves players scored in double figures. Seawolves' coach Christian Held used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard CJ Walker (185-97, college: Ohio St.) with 30 points and 6 rebounds and Haitian-American guard Shawn Occeus (193-97, college: Northeastern) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Seawolves have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Tuebingen. Loser Phoenix Hagen dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Seawolves will meet Falcons (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Phoenix Hagen will play against Eagles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
