Regular Season Round 7: Petkim - Darussafaka 57-76

Very expected game when 16th ranked Socar Petkim (1-6) was rolled over at home by tenth ranked Dacka (3-2) 76-57 on Sunday. Dacka dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Socar Petkim's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. American Wayne McCullough (195-94, college: CCU) helped adding 13 points and 5 steals. Dacka's coach Selcuk Ernak used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American Justin Wright-Foreman (187-97, college: Hofstra) responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import Demitrius Conger (196-90, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Dacka moved-up to eighth place. Loser Socar Petkim stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Dacka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Acibadem.
