An interesting game took place in Istanbul, where 8th ranked Acibadem (3-4) lost at home to eleventh ranked Buyukcekmece (3-3) 87-91 on Sunday. Buyukcekmece looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-90, college: BGSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Ukrainian center Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, college: Portland) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M, agency: Network Sports International) responded with 21 points and the other American import center Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Five Buyukcekmece and four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Buyukcekmece moved-up to ninth place. Loser Acibadem dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Bursaspor. Buyukcekmece will meet at home higher ranked Efes (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Acibadem's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Dacka.
