Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Leverkusen 2 (5-3) won against at home 11th ranked ETB Miners (3-5) 86-68 on Sunday. Leverkusen 2 made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Robert Merz (198-0) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Joel Lungelu (205-3) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Leverkusen 2 players scored in double figures. American guard Devin Peterson (185, college: WCU) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Michael Agyapong (200-90) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Leverkusen 2 moved-up to fourth place in West, which they share with Loewen. Newly promoted ETB Miners dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Wulfen. Leverkusen 2 will meet league's second-placed Deutzer on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. ETB Miners will play against Grevenbroich (#14) and hope to secure a win.
