Very predictable result when second ranked Fenerbahce (6-1) outscored on the road 12th ranked Yalova (2-5) 86-60 on Sunday. Fenerbahce made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Fenerbahce outrebounded Yalova 39-24 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Czech center Jan Vesely (213-90, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jordanian center Ahmad Al-Dwairi (209-93) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: EKU) responded with 10 points and 5 assists and the other American import swingman CJ Williams (196-90, college: NC State) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Yalova lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Turk Telekom and Merkezefendi. Fenerbahce will meet at home Merkezefendi (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Yalova will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
