Very expected game when 13th ranked Artland Dragons (3-6) lost to ninth ranked Kirchheim Knights (6-4) in Quakenbrueck 80-90 on Saturday. Kirchheim Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner, agency: Players Group) notched 28 points to lead the effort and Till Pape (204-97) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 18 points by Jacob Knauf (210-97) did not help to save the game for Artland Dragons. Czech center Adam Pechacek (206-95) added 15 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Artland Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kirchheim Knights have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Trier and Paderborn. Loser Artland Dragons keep the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe PS. Kirchheim Knights will meet at home Gladiators (#4) in the next round. Artland Dragons will play against SparkassenStars (#10) in Bochum and hope to secure a win.
