No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Dacka (5-2) edged 11th ranked Acibadem (3-6) in Istanbul 68-66 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Dacka forced 19 Acibadem turnovers. The winners were led by American point guard Troy Caupain (193-95, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 assists and international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds by American center Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Acibadem. His fellow American import guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points for the guests. Dacka have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Acibadem lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Dacka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Efes.
