Regular Season Round 7: Final Spor - Mamak 93-91

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Final Spor (3-4) edged 4th placed Mamak (4-3) in Bursa 93-91 on Sunday. Final Spor shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American-Trinidad and Tobago point guard Terrell Gomez (173-98, college: SDSU) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!). American forward Logan Routt (211-97, college: WVU) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Marlain Veal (175-96, college: SE Louisiana) came up with 24 points and 8 assists and power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mamak in the defeat. Five Final Spor and four Mamak players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Final Spor moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Antalya. Mamak at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Final Spor will meet league's leader Samsun on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mamak will play against Antalya (#10) and hope to secure a win.
