Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Stade and 6th ranked Cuxhaven had identical 5-3 record. This time Stade used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Cuxhaven 87-67 on Sunday night. They outrebounded Cuxhaven 47-26 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Marvin Boadu (193-89) stepped up and scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Jamo Ruppert (188-94) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Desmond Ringer (206-94, college: Mercer) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Marc Klesper (191-0) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stade (6-3) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Vechta 2 and Berlin BG 2000. Loser Cuxhaven dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Stade will meet Bergedorf (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cuxhaven will play against the league's leader Westerstede (#1) and hope to secure a win.
