A very close game took place in Ankara between Turk Telekom and TAC NEF. Sixth ranked Turk Telekom (3-2) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked TAC NEF (2-3). Turk Telekom managed to escape with a 2-point win 85-83 on Wednesday evening. Turk Telekom dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to TAC NEF's 28. Turk Telekom forced 27 TAC NEF turnovers. The winners were led by point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds and Ahmet Gunes (-4) supported him with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Even a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds by forward Emirali Gokturk (203-3) did not help to save the game for TAC NEF. Berkan Silindir (-1) added 12 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Five TAC NEF players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to third place in League. Loser TAC NEF dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Turk Telekom will meet at home Fenerbahce (#5) in the next round. TAC NEF will play against Petkim Spor in Izmir and hope to secure a win.
