Regular Season Round 8: Bamberg - Bonn 80-100

An interesting game for Telekom Baskets (6-2) which played road game in Bamberg against 4th ranked Brose Bamberg (5-4). Second ranked Telekom Baskets had an easy win 100-80. Telekom Baskets shot 61.0 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Brose Bamberg turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jeremy Morgan (196-95, college: UNI) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 steals and the other American import point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (176-95, college: Arizona) who added 16 points and 8 assists during the contest. International power forward Christian Sengfelder (202-95, college: Boise St.) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American Omar Prewitt (201-94, college: William & Mary) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Five Telekom Baskets and four Brose Bamberg players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Telekom Baskets have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bayern. Brose Bamberg at the other side dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Telekom Baskets will play against bottom-ranked EWE Baskets (#18) in Oldenburg in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Brose Bamberg will play at home against Bayreuth (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
