No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Bonn 2 (5-5) defeated at home 13th ranked Dorsten (2-8) 93-78 on Saturday. Bonn 2 made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Dorsten turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Dorsten's players. American guard Matt Frierson (189-97, college: Citadel) scored 35 points (!!!) and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Erik Neusel (204-0) chipped in 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Bonn 2 players scored in double figures. Bonn 2's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Tyler Brevard (189-98, college: Lander) responded with 31 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian forward Uros Cica (201-0) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bonn 2 moved-up to sixth place in West, which they share with 3 other teams. Dorsten lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Grevenbroich. Bonn 2 will meet Hagen BG (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dorsten will play against Hamm and hope to secure a win.
