Rather predictable result in Rostock where third ranked Seawolves (8-2) smashed 6th ranked Uni Baskets (6-5) 107-68 on Saturday. They outrebounded Uni Baskets 40-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Seawolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Tyler Nelson (190-95, college: Fairfield) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Robert Montgomery chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Seawolves players scored in double figures. Seawolves' coach Christian Held felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Brad Greene (210-98, college: UC Irvine) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Jordan Barnes (179-97, college: Indiana St.) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Seawolves have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Tuebingen. Loser Uni Baskets keep the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Trier. Seawolves will meet SparkassenStars (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Uni Baskets will play against Kirchheim Knights (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
