There was a surprise result when tenth ranked White Wings (2-4) edged higher ranked Skyliners II (5-3) in Hanau 69-66 on Saturday. White Wings forced 19 Skyliners II turnovers. American swingman JD Tisdale (196-93, college: Rogers St.) notched 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Matthias Fichtner (197-98) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Tisdale is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Philipp Hadenfeldt (188-99) did not help to save the game for Skyliners II. Forward Marco Voeller (200-89) added 4 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Skyliners II's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. White Wings moved-up to eighth place in South. Skyliners II at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Bball Loewen. White Wings will meet Bayern (#12) in the next round. Skyliners II will play against OrangeAcademy (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
