The game in Kirchheim was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Gladiators (6-5) played at the court of fifth ranked Kirchheim Knights (7-4). Kirchheim Knights managed to secure a 6-point victory 71-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gladiators. Strangely Gladiators outrebounded Kirchheim Knights 37-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Till Pape (204-97) who led the winners and scored 15 points. American guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade) accounted for 11 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights' coach Igor Perovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Luxembourg Thomas Gruen (196-95) came up with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Garai Zeeb (187-97) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for Gladiators in the defeat. Kirchheim Knights have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Gladiators at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Paderborn. Kirchheim Knights will play against Uni Baskets (#7) in Paderborn in the next round. Gladiators will play at home against Eagles and hope to get back on the winning track.
