Very important is a road loss of third ranked Turk Telekom (3-3) against eighth ranked Buyukcekmece (2-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Turk Telekom was crushed by Buyukcekmece in Buyukcekmece 100-75. Buyukcekmece forced 20 Turk Telekom turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Muhammet Gunes (201-3) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Can Kurt (-3) supported him with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists and 9 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. Ahmet Gunes (-4) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Buyukcekmece and four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buyukcekmece moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Buyukcekmece will meet higher ranked Galatasaray (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Turk Telekom will play against Ozel Gelisim Koleji and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
