Regular Season Round 6: TED Ankara - Darussafaka 58-77

There was no surprise when 5th ranked TED Ankara (3-3) was outleveled at home by third ranked Darussafaka (5-1) 77-58 on Monday. Darussafaka dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to TED Ankara's 26. Darussafaka forced 26 TED Ankara turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Center Bora Yasar (206-3) notched 32 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals to lead the effort and Emre Akdumbek (-3) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Darussafaka's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by Ege Cangal (-3) did not help to save the game for TED Ankara. Ozcan Korkut (-2) added 7 points and 16 rebounds. Darussafaka maintains third position in League with 5-1 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. Loser TED Ankara dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Darussafaka will meet at home league's leader Gaziantep in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TED Ankara will play against Merkezefendi (#9) in Denizl and hope to secure a win.
