Regular Season Round 6: Tesvikiye - Besiktas 61-90

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Besiktas (5-1) crushed on the road 8th ranked Tesvikiye (1-5) 90-61 on Monday. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tesvikiye's 30. Besiktas forced 21 Tesvikiye turnovers and outrebounded them 51-37 including a 35-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tolga Deliktas (-3) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and Yigit Coban (-2) supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Arda Uzuner did not help to save the game for Tesvikiye. Utku Pelit (-3) added 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Besiktas moved-up to second place in League. Loser Tesvikiye keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Besiktas will meet at home Pinar Karsiyaka (#4) in the next round. Tesvikiye will play against Bahcesehir (#7) in Acibadem and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
