Regular Season Round 7: VKM - ASRC 63-75

There was a small surprise in Vilniaus where sixth ranked ASRC (5-3) defeated 4th placed VKM (5-2) 75-63 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by ASRC. VKM managed to win second period 23-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for forward Nojus Lebskas (197-4) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Saimonas Jeremicius (195-4) helped adding 23 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side forward Danielius Kasparas (198-4) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Benas Hofsteteris (191-4) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four VKM players scored in double figures. VKM's coach Linas Salkus tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ASRC maintains sixth place with 5-3 record. VKM at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Tornado KM. ASRC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. VKM will play against Panevezio (#7) and hope to secure a win.
