We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked Brasov (2-5) crushed at home 10th ranked Rapid Bucuresti (2-6) 81-57 on Friday. The winners were led by Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and Serbian forward Latinka Dusanic (175-90) supported her with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Even 27 points and 8 rebounds by the former international guard Florina Stanici-Diaconu (170-82) did not help to save the game for Rapid Bucuresti. International Sonia-Alexandra Cazacu (183-1) added 8 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brasov moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Targoviste and Agronomia. Rapid Bucuresti at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. Brasov will meet higher ranked Targu Secuiesc (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rapid Bucuresti will play against Targu Mures (#5) and hope to secure a win.
