Regular Season Round 11: Langen - Kronberg 82-92

There was no surprise when 10th ranked TV Langen (3-6) was defeated at home by third ranked Kronberg (7-3) 92-82 on Saturday. Kronberg made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Ben Karbe (202-2) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Guard Tim Steiner (186-92) helped adding 13 points. Center Devon Jacob (200-99) responded with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jim Gietz (180-0) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kronberg moved-up to second place in South West. Loser TV Langen keeps the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Mannheim and Kaiserslautern. Kronberg will meet at home higher ranked Idstein in the next round. TV Langen will play against Fellbach (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
