Regular Season Round 11: Saarlouis - Mannheim 93-79

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Saarlouis (6-2) won against at home 11th ranked Mannheim (3-6) 93-79 on Saturday. They outrebounded Mannheim 48-31 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard TJ Lang (201-95, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) helped adding 24 points and 8 rebounds. Lang is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Saarlouis players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-91, college: AAMU) responded with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Saarlouis moved-up to third place in South West. Mannheim lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Langen and Kaiserslautern. Saarlouis will meet Tuebingen 2 (#4) on the road in the next round. Mannheim will play against Giessen Pointers (#5) and hope to secure a win.
