Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Neustadt TSV (6-5) outleveled on the road 13th ranked Wolfenbuettel (2-8) 93-72 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Wolfenbuettel turnovers. It was a great evening for British guard Rishi Kakad (188-87, college: HPU) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points. American-Jamaican center Brandon McLean (201-95, college: Huntingdon) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. Naturalized American point guard Anish Sharda (187-82, college: St.Mary's, KS) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and Elias Gueldenhaupt (191-95) scored 23 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neustadt TSV moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Cuxhaven and Berlin BG 2000. Wolfenbuettel lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Neustadt TSV will meet at home Bergedorf (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wolfenbuettel will play against the league's second-placed Aschersleben and hope to secure a win.
