Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Portoroz (5-2) won against at home 8th ranked Postojna (3-5) 87-74 on Saturday. Postojna was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Postojna 44-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Portoroz looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by Tim Skerbec (200-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Andraz Rogelja (189-95, agency: PEPI SPORT) supported him with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Five Portoroz players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by forward Aljaz Stopar (195-97) did not help to save the game for Postojna. Guard Tilen Zalar (190-87) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests. Portoroz have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 5-2 record. Loser Postojna keeps the eighth place with five games lost. Portoroz will meet at home league's second-placed Troti in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Postojna will play against LTH Castings (#3) in Skofja Loka and hope to secure a win.
