Regular Season Round 7: Deutsch-Wagram - Mustangs 74-77

Important game to mention about took place in Deutsch-Wagram. Fifth ranked Mustangs (4-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked Alligators (0-7) 77-74 on Saturday evening. Alligators were ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 34-26 second half run of Mustangs. They made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Alligators were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Czech power forward Michal Norwa (202-83) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Czech point guard Jan Kozina (181-95) accounted for 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side. Point guard Simon Marek (180-1) came up with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Slovakian forward Branislav Balvan (195-0) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for Alligators in the defeat. Four Alligators players scored in double figures. Alligators' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mustangs moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Piraten. Alligators at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Flames. Mustangs will play against Nord Dragonz (#4) in Eisenstadt in the next round. Alligators will play at home against the league's second-placed Rocks and look forward to get finally their first victory.
