Regular Season Round 11: Ibbenbueren - Wulfen 73-85

There was an upset when second-ranked Ibbenbueren (7-4) was defeated at home by tenth ranked BSV Wulfen (5-6) 85-73 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Bulgarian swingman Lyuben Paskov (196-90) helped adding 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four BSV Wulfen players scored in double figures. BSV Wulfen's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Marcello Schroeder (201-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Torvoris Baker (201-83, college: Detroit) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. BSV Wulfen moved-up to eighth place in West, which they share with Loewen and Hamm. Loser Ibbenbueren keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. BSV Wulfen will meet at home Dorsten (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ibbenbueren will play against Recklinghausen (#5) and hope to secure a win.
