Everything went according to plan when first ranked Prometey (13-1) beat on the road 3rd placed Kyiv Basket (11-3) 93-80 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-80. Prometey forced 21 Kyiv Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Olga Dubrovina (171-87, agency: BIG) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. American point guard Ariel Atkins (173-96, college: Texas) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Ciera Johnson (190-97, college: Texas A&M) who recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Taisia Udodenko (190-89) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Kyiv Basket at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
