Rather expected game when 12th ranked Delikatesas (5-13) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Palanga (8-10) 81-70 on Thursday. Palanga looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard DJ Hanes (185-95, college: Nebraska Chr., agency: One Motive Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ernestas Jaskus (195-0) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Four Palanga players scored in double figures. Palanga's coach Povilas Sakinis used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Donnell Cegers (197-93, college: NMU) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import Darion Rackley (187-92, college: JSU) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Palanga have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place. Delikatesas lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Palanga will meet higher ranked Vilkaviskis (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Delikatesas will play against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
