Regular Season Round 17: Silute - Gargzdu 95-82

Top ranked Gargzdu (15-3) recorded its third loss on the court of seventh ranked Silute on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Silute 95-82. Silute outrebounded Gargzdu 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Delante Jones (194-95, college: Seattle) who scored 42 points (!!!). Linas Lekavicius (185-84, college: American) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Mantas Ruikis (197-85) produced 20 points and center Simas Galdikas (203-87) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Silute maintains seventh place with 8-9 record. Gargzdu at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Silute are looking forward to face higher ranked Telsiai (#3) in Telsiu in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gargzdu will play at home against Kretinga and is hoping to win this game.
