No shocking result in a game in Klaipeda where tenth ranked Vytis (7-11) defeated 13th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (4-13) 87-72 on Thursday. Vytis had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Point guard Paulius Semaska (185-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and Paulius Beliavicius (196-88) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. Gediminas Lesciauskas (197-1) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytis maintains tenth place with 7-11 record. Neptunas-Akv. lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Vytis will meet at home higher ranked Zalgiris II (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neptunas-Akv. will play against LSU-Atletas (#5) in Kaunas and hope to secure a win.
